let's go for a walk

This isn’t about a photo session, or even the pictures, it’s about You. Forget about posing, feeling stiff or forcing a laugh in front of the camera. Imagine going on a walk with an open-minded friend who just happens to have a camera with them.

My process is easy, free and flowy and my only goal is that you feel safe so that I can capture your true self.

shooting + editing

My Style + Approach

My style is rooted in documentary photography—capturing moments as they naturally unfold with minimal direction. Working with me is less about posing—and more about being. I’m not here to make you look perfect. I’m here to help you feel seen. Whether you’re an artist lost in your process or a mother wrapped in a fleeting moment of connection, I want to honour the real, unpolished, in-between moments that often go unnoticed. Our time together is slow, thoughtful and rooted in trust. I’ll gently guide when needed, but I’m always observing—letting your story unfold naturally and intuitively.

You don’t need to perform. You don’t need to be “ready.” You just need to show up.

Come as you are—and I’ll meet you there, with sincerity, curiosity and care.

My editing style reflects this same approach—muted, earthy, and moody tones inspired by the timeless art of film photography. Expect quiet moments, meaningful conversation and images that hold something honest.

FAQ

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

Don’t worry—photoshoots with me are relaxed and easygoing! My style is natural and documentary, so there’s no pressure to perform. I’ll guide you when needed and make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. Just bring yourself, your story and an open mind!

How many pictures will I receive?

This really depends on the session, but I like to prioritize variety and choice. You can expect to receive carefully edited, high-resolution images that truly capture the essence of your session. I aim to provide a meaningful collection of moments you’ll treasure for years.

Do you do mini sessions?

Yes, I do! This has been a learning process for what works and doesn't work for me and I've learned that I loooove spending time with my clients and not feeling rushed. So mini sessions usually serve as an intro service or are geared towards shoots with small children or pets. Follow my Instagram for mini session announcements!

What should I wear?

Wear something that feels like you. Choose outfits that are comfortable and reflect your personality while complementing the setting. Soft, neutral tones or earthy colors tend to work beautifully, but pops of color or patterns can add personality, too. Avoid logos or overly busy patterns that can distract from the moment. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to help you plan your look so it works seamlessly with the vision for your session!

Are you available outside of Hamilton?

Absolutely yes! While I’m based in Hamilton, I love traveling to new places to capture meaningful stories. Whether it’s a nearby city or a farther destination, I’m happy to discuss travel arrangements to make your vision a reality.

How far in advance should I book?

To ensure availability, I recommend booking your session at least [insert timeframe, e.g., 4–6 weeks] in advance, especially during busy seasons. However, if you have a last-minute request, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’ll do my best to accommodate!

What happens if it rains on shoot day?

For outdoor sessions, I always keep an eye on the weather and usually like to book a rain date in advance. If rain is in the forecast, we can reschedule or adjust the session location to something indoors or covered. I’m flexible and happy to work with you to ensure the best experience.

How long will it take to receive my photos?

You can expect to receive your edited gallery within 2-3 weeks. For weddings and retreats, within 1-2 months. I carefully edit each image to ensure they meet my quality standards, so I appreciate your patience!

Do you offer prints or albums?

Yes! I believe in the beauty of holding your memories in your hands. I offer a range of printed products, including fine art prints and custom albums, so you can enjoy your photos beyond the screen.
